One of the more surprising things I discovered when reading the articles on Twitter was how few adults really use it as a source of discovering news. Twitter has become an integral part in how I learn about news stories, and it's one of the best ways to get information quickly, especially on the go.
The importance of headlines was very interesting in the New York Times, and that even though everyone wants to create the headline that is catchiest or most tantalizing, the headlines that were more often clicked on and retweeted were the ones that simply stated the facts and delivered the most information.
In the Poynter piece, Tenore delivered excellent ways on how Twitter can be a useful tool for a journalist, a most of them focusing on the immediacy of Twitter and its sense of community. I like the idea that Twitter is a conversation, and it's one that happens virtually in real time.
